Young Boy Forced To Watch His Father Die While Waiting For Help To Arrive As Firefighters Refused To Go Inside Apartment Without Police

A young boy was forced to watch his father die while waiting for an ambulance to arrive as firefighters who rushed to the scene refused to go inside the apartment without cops.

Critics say the tragedy was caused by a shortage of medical personnel staff and cops resulting from the mayor’s vaccine mandates as well as defunding the police movement.

According to reports, the 13-year-old boy from Seattle called 911 when his father started experiencing difficulty breathing.

“He’s conscious but he’s not OK,” he told 911, according to the incident report obtained by The Jason Rantz Show.

Firefighters arrived at 1:32 pm but they were discouraged from going inside the apartment without police as the outdated note on life indicated that the man living there had a history of threatening first responders.

While firefighters waited for police, the 13-year-old called 911 again and told the dispatcher: “He wasn’t like this before. I’m just really worried.”

Firefighters then broke protocol and entered the apartment without a police escort – 15 minutes after the first call to 911 was made.

A medic said to KTTH that “had it been addressed early, his chance of survival would have been 60 percent.”

Medics and police arrived at the scene more than 20 minutes after the first call was made. But despite performing CPR for an hour, the man died from a heart attack.

The Seattle Fire Department said it was following procedure when it initially refused to enter the apartment.

“We had a “cautionary” premise note entered into the system for that address due to experiences with a patient who had lived there that was known to be combative towards SFD and SPD,” spokesperson Kristin Tinsley said.

“Unfortunately, we learned during the most recent emergency response that the cautionary note was for a previous tenant.”
