Siobhan Meade, a resident of Norfolk, was not allowed to take her guide dog inside a restaurant, which upset her.
A blind woman went to a restaurant referred to as the Taste of India in King’s Lynn with her husband and her guide dog. A staff member asked her that she is not allowed to take her dog inside the restaurant with her as the restaurant does not allow the presence of any canine in their territory.
The woman tried to explain to the staff member that her dog is not an ordinary pet but her guide dog and is permitted to go everywhere with her, but the staff member didn’t budge. According to the policy of the restaurant, no dogs were allowed inside the premises of their restaurant, and they cannot permit this in any case.
Later another person appeared and apologized for the misconduct. On hearing that the dog is not a usual pet but a guide for the blind woman, he let all of them in and kept on apologizing for the earlier encounter.
