President Biden raised plenty of eyebrows recently when he opted to make a shocking claim regarding how he used to drive an 18 wheeler truck in the past.
Certainly, the words weren’t expected from a man who is renowned to be a political veteran for the past 48 years. However, the President did mention them out loud as he visited a famous Mack Truck facility which was located in Pennsylvania. And that’s where he confirmed how he was very familiar with the vehicles because he also drove one.
On the other hand, local media outlets confirmed how the White House was finding it very difficult to defend the President’s shocking claims as they are pretty massive in size and also require a special type of license to actually drive the mean machine.
As you can probably expect, the President’s words soon went viral in no time with the video being posted on Twitter for viewers to comment and debate upon.
Many explained how there was little to no evidence of the President’s surprising confession and hence wondered why he would even make such a bizarre mention in public. Hence, when a spokesperson from the White House was recently questioned on the matter, he did manage to quote an ancient article from the year 1973.
And that’s where he claimed that the President did in fact ‘ride’ the 18 wheeled vehicle that seems to be a hot topic on plenty of Americans’ minds.
On that note, a renowned journalist from the Press was quick and bold enough to add how there was a big difference between riding and driving the truck and how the President should think twice before making such claims.
Clearly, this appears to be a foot-in-the-mouth sort of incident. And one that the President seems to be making plenty of in the eyes of the public.
