President Joe Biden has issued an order this morning for the immediate deployment of over 3000 US troops back into Afghanistan.
The Pentagon announced how the President called for immediate orders of the troop’s deployment to assist in the quick evacuation of stranded personnel working at the US Embassy. The news comes as the Taliban gain a stronghold in the country’s 12 major cities with surging encroachment in the Afghani capital of Kabul too.
It was only recently that the US was celebrating its withdrawal of troops from the war-torn country but it now appears that the celebrations were certainly short-lived after Biden’s announcement this morning.
Meanwhile, so many diplomats are now weighing in on how quickly they might have to completely evacuate the US embassy, where nearly 4000 people are working.
Just last week, the State Department of the US announced a shocking warning to its citizen in Afghanistan, adding how they needed to leave the nation immediately.
Currently, the Taliban have managed to seize strong control over Afghanistan’s 12 provincial capitals. And that entails more than two-thirds of the nation.
Recently on Thursday, fighters belonging to the Taliban forces were seen capturing the country’s second-biggest city of Kandahar and the third-biggest city called Herat too. But that was just the start.
By Friday, the Taliban forces managed to capture and seize Lashkar Gah which is the Helmand Province located in the South.
Some recent reports go as far as confirming how so many fighters were going door to door, forcing so many young women in the captured places to engage in sex slavery as well as the execution of any Afghan forces that surrender.
Meanwhile, the US is also holding another 3000 to 4000 forces in its reserve that will be stationed in the Kuwaiti nation. These will remain on standby, while another 1000 troops will enter Qatar to assist with the Special Immigrant visa process.
