27-year-old French International Star Benjamin Mendy and his co-accused 40-year-old Louis Saha Matturie are charged with 2 more rapes and sexual assaults.

Previously the French International Star Benjamin Mendy, a part of France’s World Cup-winning squad in 2018, was accused of 4 rapes. A victim has claimed that the premier league footballer has abused her and raped her twice at his $5 million mansion in Prestbury, Cheshire.

According to the Crown Prosecution Service, the previous rape charges against the footballer were imposed on him for his crimes between October 2020 and August 2021. The Manchester City footballer is being held on remand at HMP Altcourse in Liverpool. He has been asked to appear in Stockport Magistrates’ Court.

Benjamin Mendy of Prestbury, Cheshire, moved to the reigning champions for $52 million in 2017, earns $360,000 monthly and lives in a $5 million mansion in Prestbury. He was charged with his horrible crimes when he was about to play a game against Arsenal. His first two games were against Leicester City and Tottenham Hotspur this season. He has made 75 appearances since signing from Monaco in 2017.

French International Star Benjamin Mendy’s co-accused 40-year-old Louis Saha Matturie is also charged with 2 more rapes. Previously there was a sexual assault and 4 rape charges against him, but now he has been accused of two more rapes and will appear in the Stockport Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. He is in the custody of the police and will go on a trial on 4th January next year.

After these new charges, it is not confirmed if the trial will be held in January. There are more chances that the problem will be delayed as the investigation on the new charges goes on. It is a terrible reality that these types of crimes are increasing day by day. Police and courts should take serious steps to control these cases.
