On a daily basis, we hear of nip and tucks, left and right. But recently, a wonderful piece of news broke relating a mother and her refusal to folow the norms.
Having a child with a giant birthmark across her face would make many people question its existance. But for this mum, beauty has no standards. Moreover, she defied all odds and never gave in to society’s pressure. And now, her story is going viral for all the right reasons. So let’s take a look!
Meet little Harper King
Beautiful as can be, the mother feels blessed to have a daughter like Harper King. Clearly, she is different to many babies and that’s exactly what makes her so unique. Today, her parents Ebony and Jamie explain their side of the story when little harper arrived.
“We were definitely taken aback when we saw her giant birthmark,” explained the new parents. It was definitely huge and as a result, covered most of her face. In the same way, the parents worried for thier beautiful child. After all, as she would get older, many would question her.
Harper King was stunning in her own way. But what did the huge mark represent or shall we say, why was it there in the first place?
The huge sign was a rare condition that usually occurs in a ratio of 1 in 20,000. In this case, it covered most of her face’s left side, including her little nose.
The pending decision of removing giant birthmark
With initial concerns in place, many questioned the young parents about surgery. They felt that was the right decision forward, especially since esthetics ruled the day. However, if you think the parents were super easy to convince, you might want to think again.
23 year old Ebony is from Huddersfield in Yorkshire. She says it simply isn’t easy when you’re a mom for the first time and you’ve got people questioning you left and right.
“Yes it came as a huge shock and suprise to me. In the same way, it upset me so much. I couldn’t imagine what she would have to go through growing up. People can be so cruel sometimes.” However, the mother also revealed how it’s just a part of her persona now. And they can’t even imagine her without it. After all, it was with her since day one. Seeing her without it might feel strange.

Little Harper joined this beautiful family in the month of September 2020. She came in weighing 8 pounds and 4 ounces. Moreover, Harper has plenty of siblings that give her company too. This includes a son named Harley who is 3. In addition, little Harper has an older sister who is Ebony’s daughter from a past marriage.
While the shock of the giant birthmark slowly fades away, these parents feel determined to make the right decision. And that is waiting for their child to grow up.
