Although Josh and Allison Lewis are a big family of four biological and three adopted children, they decided to adopt two more. These two newbies were Sam and Ava. They’re basically twins and the couple had no problem in adopting them.

“When we arrived, we saw a healthy baby boy who was with the nurses cuddling them on the floor. IN NICU there was a 3-pound little baby girl and we found out soon enough that she does not have any brain.”

Ava’s Fight For Survival
The adopted, born-without-a-brain baby’s name was Ava Leigh Lewis. She stayed in the hospital for about 46 days until she could finally go home and the doctors commanded to. It was a surprise on how did she survive this long but the couple knew that she was special.
This angelic couple took care of her when they brought her home. Everyone showered her with lots of affection, care, and love from the whole family. It wasn’t possible for her to survive this long anyway!
She had seizures, pain, and several other medical health conditions that simply showed signs of no survival.
