An 18-year-old has been arrested for allegedly killing a “pedophile masseur” who sexually abused his girlfriend, The Sun reported.
Lev Maslennikov, 18, a philosophy student has been apprehended by the authorities for violently killing Alexander Krizhanovsky,30, who was reportedly stabbed by Lev more than 45 times.
The police officer says that Lev confessed to the crime, he has been arrested and is now imprisoned in Russia.
The assault happened when Polina, 18, Lev’s girlfriend, has told that Alexander, Polina’s pedophile masseur, allegedly raped her when she was 15.
According to reports, Alexander had worked in a children’s developmental center and summer camps as a masseur.
Pedophilia is a psychiatric disorder in which an adult or older adolescent experiences a primary or exclusive sexual attraction to prepubescent children.
Although girls typically begin the process of puberty at age 10 or 11, and boys at age 11 or 12, criteria for pedophilia extend the cut-off point for prepubescence to age 13.
A person must be at least 16 years old, and at least five years older than the prepubescent child, for the attraction to be diagnosed as pedophilia.
The International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) defines it as a “sustained, focused, and intense pattern of sexual arousal—as manifested by persistent sexual thoughts, fantasies, urges, or behaviors—involving pre-pubertal children.”
Wanting to take revenge for his girlfriend, Lev created a fake social media account under Polina’s name and used it as bait to get Alexander’s attention.
The furious boyfriend somehow managed to set up a “date” with Alexander while pretending that he was Polina. On the day of the meet-up, Lev took the opportunity to avenge his girlfriend and stabbed the paedo masseur to death.
Alexander’s body was found in a forest near Vsevolozhsk in the Leningrad Region and the report says he was knifed with a mushroom picker.
According to local reports, Lev and Polina tried to flee to Armenia but were stopped at St Petersburg airport.
Polina, who is a student in Armenia has told the police that she had no prior knowledge of the dreadful attack which took place on her 18th birthday.
Lev Maslennikov is the son of well-known Russian astrophysicist Dr Kirill Maslennikov.
“During the interrogation, the suspect admitted his guilt and explained that the murder was committed due to personal hostile relationships,” The Russian Investigative Committee said. “He will be charged shortly.”
