One Arkansas farmer is getting a jail sentence for committing a series of horrendous crimes.
According to reports, Police were on the search for a young jogger that went missing last week. A complete search operation concluded when they found her remains, buried in Arkansas. Meanwhile, the officials explained how the killer confessed to his awful crimes, after rounds of questioning. But what exactly did he do?
The female jogger, who reportedly went missing in Arkansas, is confirmed dead by police officials. According to reports, a local farmer spotted the young woman on the highway and kidnapped her into his truck. Furthermore, he took her to his farm and raped her, after which he killed her. And then he even went on to bury her remains.
The farmer, Lewellyn, was arrested on Friday and now is convicted for rape and murder. He will serve a jail sentence and is currently on hold, without any bond. Meanwhile, authorities revealed how the date for the next court hearing is October 1st.

A local farmer made headlines after he allegedly kidnapped, raped, and murdered a 28-year-old female jogger. The young nurse went missing last week while jogging in her hometown of Arkansas. But who knew her physical wellness journey would cost her life one day.
According to officials, Sydney Sutherland, went missing last week, August 19th. Her loved ones reported to the police when she didn’t’ return back home, after her usual jog. However, loved ones received the most dreadful call of their lives when police stated how she died.
Furthermore, they went on to reveal how they found the 25-year old’s body, near her home, situated in the Newport district of Arkansas.
Third-generation farmer admits to the horrible crime
The local third-generation farmer, Quake Lewellyn, from Jonesboro, admitted to the horrendous crime. And on that note, he received murder charges with a jail sentence for his awful deeds.
During a hearing on Monday, officials explained how the farmer spotted the 25-year-old on the highway. She was making her usual jogs while he was taking a drive towards his farm.
Upon spotting the jogger, the farmer doubled back, abducted the female, and then drove about 3 miles towards his farm. Sadly, that’s where he raped her.
The 28-year-old farmer arrived at court in an orange-colored jumpsuit and a bulletproof vest. He appeared quiet, walking towards Jackson County’s courthouse to attend his hearing.
In regards to Sutherland’s disappearance, police questioned him. And that’s when he confessed to the gruesome crime.
The farmer receives jail sentence without bond
Before all of the events regarding the criminal activity unfolded, police found the jogger’s iPhone, just a quarter of a mile from her actual residence. According to family reports, she went running with her Apples Watch as well as her phone.
Meanwhile, the young woman was a nurse who lived with her boyfriend. However, the county’s sheriff confirmed how there was no sign of any problems with her partner. And that’s why those indications were ruled during the search.
According to co-workers, Sutherland was an outgoing and bright individual. Moreover, she worked really hard at the Harris Medical Center. Close colleagues also confirmed how close she was to her family members.
After retrieving her body during a vigorous search operation, the sheriff praised officials for their efforts in one of the most ‘tragic cases’ ever.
