A young teen has been rushed to the hospital after being mauled by two dogs at a playground in Sydney.
The teen was rushed to the ER by emergency services after he was set upon by a giant Rottweiler and Saint Bernard, explained reports. Authorities have gone on to reveal the incident’s location as a playground situated in Homebush West, Sydney at about 3:20 pm.
At the moment, police are currently investigating how the exact incident took place, immediately seizing the two dogs and keeping them in their care.
The victim was currently being treated for injuries that medical experts referred to as a serious kind, right after the two dogs pounced upon him from nowhere.
Witnesses present at the scene explained the wild incident in detail as they looked on with horror and helplessness as the teen was being mauled.
Paramedics were called in immediately, and they began to treat his legs that were covered in bites. But soon, they felt the need to rush him to the nearby Westmead Children’s Hospital for further care and evaluation.
The New South Wales police department revealed how officers from the Auburn Police Area Command immediately attended to the scene and secured the two dogs, there and then.
Council rangers and other experts have been called in to investigate who the dogs belong to and how such a tragically horrifying incident managed to take place on a playground where so many children were present, putting the lives of so many in danger.
“What we know right now is how there was a Saint Bernard and a Rottweiler involved but it’s still unclear what led to the attack as the dogs began to behave in an awfully wild manner,” explained another onlooker.
