What would you do if you ended up injuring your friend’s pet?
Well, common courtesy would be to do whatever it takes to ensure the pet is alive and well, including covering up all medical expenses related to it.
However, that was certainly not the case with one friend who reportedly opted to ignore paying any form of vet expenses related to a dog that got injured by him.
The man explained how he does realize why the issue is a sensitive subject. Some pets are like family members to people and his friend is the perfect example of just that.
She does not have insurance for vet bills in today’s inflation situation, his friend expected him to cover the costs because he was the one responsible for this situation.
“I really declined because I felt like I had the responsibility to apologize and that’s it. There was no chance that I was going to pay for those huge bills”- the man mentioned.
The man explained that his friend and her boyfriend really did not do a great job at training their dog. And that is the reason why the incident happened in the first place.
“That pup only knows how to sit and stand. And I feel that if they had taken out a little more time and effort for training, it would be in their best interest”- he explained.
The incident has affected the duo’s friendship and now, he’s asking people on Reddit if he’s in the wrong or if he’s acting irresponsibly, after putting his side of the story forward.
