A woman from Florida was brutally attacked and killed by two alligators after she fell into a pond recently.
According to reports from local media outlets, the woman fell into the pond that was located near her home but little did she know that it happened to be infested by giant alligators.
It has been revealed that the woman tried to stay afloat and began to panic. She tried really hard to swim for her life but the giant reptiles grabbed a hold of her and started to attack.
“She was attacked before she even got a chance to swim out”- mentioned the authorities.
At the moment, the elderly woman’s identity has not been revealed by authorities. They say a few witnesses did see the woman fall into the pond but by the time they arrived to assist, it was just too late.
The exact location of the devastating incident was revealed to be the Boca Royale Golf and Country Club situated in Englewood on Friday.
It was about 7:47 pm in the evening when the horrifying event took place as confirmed by Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
At the moment, an investigation into the horrifying tragedy is taking place as the deceased woman’s loved ones are mourning her sudden loss.
Some officials are now claiming how the alligators had heard the woman splash into the water and hence chased her, right before they attacked and killed her.
She was pronounced dead at the scene despite attempts being made by paramedics to revive her.
The elderly woman’s tragic death marks the start of the latest string of incidents involving alligators attacking humans, confirmed sources.
