A piece of shocking and disgusting news has swamped the internet and the Amish community in Missouri as four Amish brothers have admitted they’ve had sex with their younger sister.
The girl is only 13-years old by now and has already given birth to a son. Four brothers, out of which 2 are minor, began sexually assaulting their sister when she was only 12-years old. And all of this has been happening at their own residence.
This news has enraged the Amish community and according to reports, they have given severe punishment to the boys. We are not sure about the 2 minor boys though but the elder ones are scrutinized as well.
Who are these Amish brothers?
Two of the eldest brothers, Aaron Schwartz, 22, and 18-year-old brother Petie reportedly admitted to the cops that they have assaulted their sister.
According to their own statement, this started when she was only 12-years old.
They took two of their minor brothers in their gang and committed such heinous and gruesome crime at their own home. What happened to the little girl?
The little girl, whose identity is not known so far, was announced pregnant by her doctor. This is how the news came to light making everyone in the community angry at the boys and family.
One of the boys is the father of the son now but no one knows who he really is. As Webster County Prosecutor Ben Berkstresser told NY Post, the girl gave birth only two days ago.
The initial and later charges on the boys
The boys confessed that they abused their sister throughout the year, almost 12 times each.
The police charged them with 6 counts of statutory rape and one count of incest at first. But then a plea deal was made and it decided 15-years of prison for them all.The court reduced it to a third-degree child molesting and a category C felony.
However, the prosecutor said the incident is of a different nature than a parent sexually abusing his/her child. According to him, the boys themselves are quite immature yet.
What does Webster County Prosecutor Ben Berkstresser say now?
According to the Webster County Prosecutor Ben Berkstresser, no one is sure so far who is the father of the child. Though he does not deny that the boys have been assaulting this sister but he believes they are too young.
He suspended the prison charges as he thinks the other prisoners will eat them alive in the state prison. Also, he said the Amish community has given punishment to the boys and it was a severe one.
The final punishment was given to the boys
So the final punishment is, they will serve 100 hours of community service and complete the Missouri Sex Offender Treatment Program. This program is not a lenient or easy one and they will have to go through a lot during this program.
However, Mr. Berksetresser said that the boys will have to go to jail if they do not complete it. He also mentioned writing a letter to correct themselves and explain how they can treat the children better. In his own words, “both young men must write a letter to me, explaining how they will protect their children” Berkstresser said. “They have 30 days to get this letter to me.”
Prosecutor understands the gravity of his decision
The prosecutor reckons that gravity of his decision as he says he knows he will receive severe backlash from the public.
He also told how harsh he previously was with the Amish community before but not anymore.
Ensuring the public, he said the boys will face consequences if they do not complete the program. And these consequences are, going to jail.
