The 10-year-old boy accused of shooting his mother dead in the head after she refused to pay for his VR headset is now breaking his silence.
According to reports from local media outlets, the 44-year-old victim named Quiana Mann tragically lost her life when the gun her son was playing with was directly aimed at her from him.
The mom was stated to have been upset with her child because he just wouldn’t listen to her. He kept on insisting that he wanted the VR headset and needed to order it through her account on Amazon.
Bullets struck the mom’s face by her own son who became furious at her for not buying the VR headset worth $500. Now, the child is speaking up on the matter when it was announced that he would be tried as an adult in a court of law.
On that note, the boy’s own attorney was seen asking the Milwaukee court to lower his bail from $50,000 to just $100. He claimed that this is how much he ended up saving in his piggyback and hence would only be allowed or able to be this much.
As can be expected, the judge immediately refused. And he ended up putting a travel restriction if he does post bail.
The community ended up going into a state of absolute and complete shock when they found out he would be tried in the court of law as an adult. Many felt that was not fair as he failed to be at that age where one would consider him close to being an adult.
He is currently being charged with reckless homicide and now faces up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
Sources mentioned that in case he is convicted, he could be stuck in jail for 60 years. But his grandmother is doing everything possible to raise more awareness on the issue and prevent her grandson from being convicted after being tried as an adult.
