It was a nightmare come true for one dad who happened to be dropping off his kids to school during the early morning hours when a random road rage incident saw a man fire at his vehicle.
Sources claim the dad was driving on the highway when all of a sudden bullets were fired at his car and struck his sleeping baby’s car seat. Thankfully, the child remained unharmed but he just narrowly escaped the mishap, leaving the dad furious as can be.
The father revealed how the shooter rammed bullets for no reason into his car and continued for a minute. The incident sparked horror across the board and many just couldn’t come to terms with what was going on and why it was happening in the first place.
Leon Vessels says he was driving his boys to school and had just dropped off one of them when the incident took him by surprise.
He saw the vehicle get really close to him on the Interstate and soon realized what the man’s intentions were.
“I just thought to myself he is getting awfully close to my car. Is he trying to ram into my vehicle? But that’s when I saw him take out a weapon and strike bullets straight at the back seats”- the terrified father continued.
If he had not dropped off his son, he would have been injured for sure as the bullets rammed through one widow and also went out through the other, shattering glass along the way.
The shooter’s vehicle was identified as a black colored Mitsubishi Mirage that was described as being driven in the harshest and most erratic manner.
“It was like he had set out to kill people. I was mortified”- explained one witness who happened to be in close proximity to where the incident had taken place.
Bullet holes could be seen on his child’s baby seat and as investigations into the harrowing road rage incident in Washington DC continue, the cops are informing citizens to be very vigilant while driving.
