The woman who slammed American Airlines for ‘sandwiching’ her between two obese passengers has finally received her apology and compensation to go with it.
Sydney Wason went viral online after sharing her three hours of discomfort while traveling aboard her flight. But many felt her rant was unjustified and totally uncalled for.
The woman’s rant continued about how it’s unfair for someone her size to be treated in this manner. She also says that for her, it was like being suffocated because she had zero privacy and legroom to do anything.
“It was as if they were breathing on me. I was tiny and they were massive. I or anyone should never be forced to go through what I did!”- the regular passenger for American Airlines explained.
Sydney’s rants were documented on Twitter.
And she did call out the airlines for refusing to give her the customer service she needs.
Therefore, she opted to boycott them when they sent out a message that made so many people happy. Unfortunately, the happiness did not last long as the airline was soon seen detracting from its own claims.At first, they mentioned how the airlines support people of all sizes and they were proud that all of their flyers show such diversity in this regard.
It was like a slap in the face for her, and as you can imagine, the humiliation she suffered publicly was shocking and just a lot for her to handle.
But now, the frequent flyer from Australia has finally gotten what she wanted and that came in the form of a freebie. She was given an apology and promised that nothing of the sort would happen again.
Now, so many people are divided on the airline’s stance and why they chose to provide her with compensation.
