A nurse who has been accused of murdering seven premature babies using the most heartbreaking methods to take their lives has finally appeared in court today.
According to sources from local media outlets, the nurse named Lucy Letby used her night shifts to prey on her victims because she knew that during this hour, the parents weren’t as active and alert as usual. Therefore, it just made it so much easier for her to carry out the heinous crime.
The court heard how the nurse used shocking methods for murdering the children including injecting them with substances like air, milk, and even insulin!
One report even went on to shed light on how the nurse hunted for children at the neonatal unit. This is where she reportedly carried out the murders. Moreover, a total of five boys and two girls were outlined as being murdered through her evil hands at the Countess Chester Hospital in the past year.
32-year-old nurse Lucy Letby stood in silence as her haunting crimes were read out to her in the courtroom. And one such report that had the entire courtroom stunned is how she killed one premature baby who arrived in her care in just 90 minutes.
Other than these seven murders, she was also reportedly accused of killing ten other small kids between the years 2015 to 2016.
The judge read out the horrors and each one appeared to be worst than the next. But for many, the crime of poisoning a baby with insulin was just the worst of them all.
She intentionally used the most lethal doses to make the death faster, and the courtroom heard as well.
