Cops in Tennessee have reportedly found a body while searching for billionaire heiress Eliza Fletcher.
According to local media outlets, the body has been confirmed to be of the mother of two who was reported missing after being kidnapped.
The cops have confirmed and identified the human remains that were located near an Elementary School. At the same time, they have also spoken about charging a suspect that has been taken into police custody in relation to the incident.
He was identified as 38-year-old Cleotha Abston who has received charges linked to first-degree murder and first-degree murder in the perpetration of kidnapping after abducting the mentor.
At the moment, the teacher’s exact cause of death has not been revealed by authorities who are carrying out an investigation in that regard.
Her remains were found nearly seven miles from where she was reportedly last seen, sources confirmed.
This is not the first time that we’re seeing the suspect linked with kidnapping charges and tampering with evidence that was related to her sudden and mysterious disappearance. There were also some unrelated charges linked to her name as well.
The suspect made a recent appearance in court wearing a mask and his green prison uniform. He informed the court about an affidavit that he’s unable to afford any lawyer to handle the case at this time so he can make a bond.
The victim’s family is believed to have attended the court hearing recently that has been adjourned to September 7.
The suspect remained silent and didn’t utter a word during his 15-minute long hearing. He was soon led away by prison officers while his hands were pictured cuffed behind his backside.
The heiress vanished suddenly when she went out for a jog on Friday at about 4:30 am. And that is what led to authorities conducting a found day hunt. This is where they stumbled upon a wooded area across Memphis- this abandoned elementary school being one of them.
