Ten people were killed and an additional fifteen were injured after a pair of men armed with knives committed a series of mass stabbings.
The shocking news comes straight from Canada where multiple reports of people getting stabbed in Weldon and the James Smith Cree Nation emerged.
According to the preliminary reports, 10 people are believed dead. Another 15 suffered stab wounds.
The Canadian police have since launched a manhunt for two men suspected of committing the killings at multiple locations in the area.
One of the suspects has been identified as 30-year-old Myles Sanderson who measures 6’1’’ and weighs around 200 pounds. The other suspect is 31-year-old Damien Sanderson who comes at 5’7’’ and 155 pounds.
Both men have dark hair and brown eyes and might be riding in a black Nissan Rogue.
“Let me be clear, we are still looking for the two suspects. We are asking residents across Saskatchewan and our neighboring provinces to be vigilant,” RCMP Saskatchewan Assistant Commissioner Rhonda Blackmore said in a recent update.
Blackmore also revealed that the initial investigation shows that some of the victims may have been known to the suspects while others appear to have been targeted randomly.
“Our thoughts are with the many victims deceased and injured their family, friends and communities. It is horrific what has occurred in our province today,” Blackmore added.
“If Damian and Myles are listening or receive this information, I would ask that they turn themselves in to police immediately.”
According to the police, the fatal and non-fatal stabbings took place at 13 different crime scenes.
