A Florida woman has been arrested for allegedly having s*xual activities with her dog while her boyfriend also faces charges for recording it and storing videos on a hard drive.
36-year-old Christina Calello reportedly “engaged in s*xual activity with the dog” over the course of eight years, an arrest report shared by the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office revealed.
Her ex-boyfriend Geoffrey Springer, 39, was also arrested for recording the activities and “placing it on a flash drive.”
Police took the poor dog to a local pet hospital for examination while Calello and Springer were arrested and charged with s*xual activity involving animals.
The couple were then booked into the Pinellas County Jail but Calello was then released after posing a $5,000 bond.
Jail records show that the 36-year-old was charged with domestic battery.
Springer was released on his own recognizance. As of this writing, no court date for the pair has been released.
In the state, bestiality is a misdemeanor of the first degree and penalties include imprisonment for up to one year. According to the law firm Muscala Law, offenders usually pay a $1,000 fine.
Bestiality is illegal throughout the US except for four states: West Virginia, New Mexico, Hawaii, and Wyoming, were it is considered as animal abuse.
According to The Journal of Qualitative Criminal Justice and Criminology, “classic studies indicate that 5 to 8 percent of males engage in bestiality, while between 3 to 4 percent of women do.”
One person commented: “There are no words, can you imagine her poor parents thinking where did they go wrong. I feel so sorry for them.”
Another wrote: “If these two were simply to drop off the face of the earth, it would be a very good thing.”
