A 37-year-old woman is shedding light on her agonizing health condition where she’s forced to starve to death because eating causes her too much pain.
Meet Nicolette Baker who hails from Truro in Cornwall. She claims to have never been able to start her life in the right way because of her agonizing health condition.
For that reason, the 37-year-old weighs just 42 pounds which are deemed to be extremely underweight by health care professionals.
The rare disorder has left Nicolette literally starving to death, and she says that she requires one final payment worth £10,000 so she can go ahead and begin her medical treatment.
“I can’t even begin to tell you how much pain I have while eating. There’s never been a day where I could eat without the pain of the extreme nature,” she adds in an emotional tone.
The condition is known as Superior Mesenteric Artery Syndrome or SMAS which she was diagnosed with nearly 10 years back. In this condition, the patient’s superior mesenteric artery manages to compress organs like the kidney and the duodenum. Therefore, every time they try to eat, they suffer unimaginable pain.
Nicole also revealed how the horrifying condition causes her to feel so full after eating something as tiny as a jelly bean.
“When I try to eat something that’s the size of a jelly bean, I feel as if I have consumed an entire Christmas dinner”- she adds.
“My intestine feels as if it will go and burst,” she adds.
But if that was not tragic enough, Nicole also revealed how she was misdiagnosed over the past years for being anorexic. “I was forced to eat meals because of my low weight, I was just 42 pounds and it’s scary sometimes,” she adds.
Last year, doctors informed the 37-year-old how she had just a few days to live but she’s managed to beat all the odds against her and hopes to live a normal life soon.
