The Russian head of state, Vladimir Putin is known for twisting the truth and his recent speech directed at his country’s troops is no exception.
The President was seen giving a bold speech to Russian soldiers during the grand ‘Victory Day’ parade that was celebrated with great fervor across the nation.
Putin kept on reminding them that they were fighting for their motherland and that it was their duty to defend their home country. For that reason, he ordered them to come out victorious because that was in the country’s best interest.
The Russian leader continued to address the crowd during the military parade where he was also captured limping and watching the display with a blanket. These were clear signs of his deteriorating health as more rumors grow that he is not well and will need to undergo emergency surgery soon, on recommendation by his doctors.
Putin was also heard repeating the same argument over and over again where he mentioned that Russia was at risk from the West, with special emphasis on the NATO alliance and how they were out to get the country.
As a part of his twisted justification for the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, Russia argued how there were an increasing number of threats to the country’s borders and that’s why Russia would now need to work twice as hard at pulling their guards up.
“It is in the country’s best interest as well as the duty of its soldiers to keep those who defeated the Nazism as a part of their memory”- he explained.
The Victory Parade is held every year where a powerful show of military expertise is put in the limelight in the capital city of Moscow, at the Red Square.
