Saudi Arabia has just conducted a mass execution where 81 people were reportedly killed in one day.
According to local media reports, at least 81 alleged criminals were lined up on Saturday, which is being looked at as the largest mass execution to have ever been recorded in the kingdom’s modern history.
Moreover, it was also revealed how all of those that were killed had reportedly been convicted of a long list of crimes that included incidents relating to murder as well as those who were a part of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda and even some who backed Yemen’s Houthi rebels too.
Meanwhile, sources have revealed how all of those executions were publicly announced by the Kingdom’s owned ‘Saudi Press Agency’ and it failed to specify what the exact location for the executions was while keeping their timings hidden as well.
Sources also spoke about how the manner in which the execution was conducted was also kept hidden, however, it was common for the kingdom to usually behead all those categorized as convicts.
Reports shed light on how most of the prisoners belonged to Saudi origin, where there were at least 7 from Yemen and one from Syria.
“All of those who were a part of the accused were given the right of having an attorney. They were also guaranteed all of their respective rights under the Saudi law throughout their judicial process”- a document revealed.
“They were all found guilty of committing a number heinous crimes and that left innocent civilians as well as enforcement officers dead”- the Saudi Press Agency continued to explain.
It was also boldly revealed how the Kingdom continues to take strict actions against all those who try to go above the law, adding how it also has zero tolerance for those involved in terrorist as well as extremist ideologies.
