Tragic reports coming in from Washington DC have gone on to confirm the death of a man who was holding an infant in one hand and another five-year-old girl in the other.
According to local media reports, the victim was identified as a resident of Washington DC which is where the tragic shooting act took place.
The victim was trying to cross the street while holding a car seat carrying an infant and another child’s hand too. But little did he know that his death awaited him soon.
The incident took place during the early morning hours of Friday, as confirmed by officials from the Law Enforcement Department.
Now, cops have identified the victim as 42-year-old Sedrick Miller who was gunned down at the 2300 block of 18th Street. This is located in the Northeast part of Washington DC, stated the police during a recent press conference that was held for this matter.
“It was a very horrifying incident and we need all the help that we can get from the Public in this matter”- explained Police Commander William FitzGerald, after he called it one of the most disturbing incidents of all time to have occurred in DC in years.
Cops began to shed light on how the incident unfolded as investigations into the tragedy continue.
They claim a shooter approached him and began to fire at him directly, several times. However, it is not yet clear as to what the gunman’s motive was and why he indulged in such behavior in the first place.
While Miller was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene, it has been revealed that the two kids remained safe and are currently with their mother.
So far, no arrests have been made while cops plead for assistance from the public regarding the suspect’s identification.
