The last words of a mother-of-four who was shot dead in her Uber by her passenger have been revealed.
38-year-old Christi Spicuzza was a hardworking mom from Pennsylvania who made a living by driving for Uber before she was ruthlessly killed by one of her passengers.
Last Friday, Spicuzza was fatally shot by 22-year-old Calvin Crew after the man ordered an Uber using his girlfriend’s phone.
After picking up Crew at 139 Brinton Avenue in Pitcairn, the ex-convict, who was bailed out of jail on a firearms charge just days before the incident, pointed a gun to the driver’s head and ordered her to keep on driving.
After reaching back with her hand and feeling the gun, the mother-of-four pleaded with Crew to spare her life.
“I’m begging you. I have four kids,” she was heard saying in footage captured by her dashboard camera. “Please take that off of me.”
After telling the Uber driver that “everything will be alright” if she does what he says, Crew reached for her phone and turned off the camera.
While it is not clear what exactly happened after the camera went off, Crew shot Spicuzza in the back of her head and she was later found dead in a wooded area away from her car.
Following the shocking incident, Crew was arrested and the footage of the presumed robbery turned murder was recovered. As of this writing, it is unclear what charges the 22-year-old will face.
Meanwhile, a touching obituary branding Spicuzza as a “loving mother” was posted in her honor.
“Anyone who knew Christi knew her smile could light up every room she was in. No matter what was going on in her life, Christi was always smiling, always positive, and always loving,” the obituary read.
