Moreover, the victim was identified as Serenity Ann McKinney who wasn’t seen by her loved ones since the Christmas Eve of 2020 as reported by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Department.
Reports from local media reports suggest that she waa recently located by the officers from the Kentucky State Police who found her remains in a wooded area of West Point which is present near the Indiana border.
The search ended on Friday afternoon with a twist that not too many members of the society and law enforcement officers saw coming.
Investigators following the case revealed that a report is pending regarding her autopsy and till then, they won’t be stating any details about the manner in which she was murdered.
The young girl’s biological mother is named Catherine McKinney who is 21 and has been charged for murdering her daughter, alongwith her 26 year old boyfriend named Dakota Hill. Not only were the duo charged for killing her, they were also charged for abusing her corpse too.
The victim’s real father says he had cut off all ties of communication with his family last year in fall. He also revealed how he was the one who had filed the missing persons reports for the victim, but never expected her search to end with such a tragic outcome.
