Shocking and bizarre revelations are being made about young Cleo Smith’s mysterious disappearance by her own mother.
Ellie Smith has gone on to reveal heartbreaking details from her daughter’s kidnapping that has changed her life forever.
Although the four-year-old child was found safe and sound by authorities after the launching of a massive hunt to track her down, the mother is shedding light on what could have possibly led to her daughter’s disappearance from the family tent in the middle of the night.
36-year-old Terence Darrell Kelly pleaded guilty to kidnapping the child from a tent in Australia but more details revealed how he even cut and dyed the child’s hair too.
The mother has also spoken in detail about how her daughter’s pink-colored bike was parked right outside the tent and experts claim that it was the most obvious clue for a snatcher that there was a young and vulnerable child sleeping inside.
The suspect reportedly kept little Cleo inside his home for 18 days until authorities managed to storm inside and break her free from his captivity.
This location was deemed to be exactly 7 kilometers from her family’s residence, stated authorities.
“He preyed on my child because her pink bike was outside the tent”- the mother mentioned in an emotional tone while delivering a bombshell interview for ’60 Minutes’. “He even cut her hair and dyed it” she further added.
Cleo Smith was kidnapped in the middle hours of the night as neighbors present in the surrounding tents spoke about how they had heard loud tire screeches but didn’t see anything.
As the family slept peacefully meters away at the Blowholes campsite, the snatcher quietly grabbed her and kept her in a home that was later found to be filled with dolls on November 3.
