Tragic reports have gone on to reveal the deaths of a teenage couple who were reportedly found hanging at a nature reserve in Dorset.
According to local media reports, the victims were identified as 18-year-old Jack Williams and 17-year-old Katherine Powell. They were both found hanging and for that reason, authorities are suspecting a possible su*cide attempt.
Both bodies were discovered side by side at the Bothenhampton Reservoir that is located near Bridport Dorset.
Other reports have gone on to speak about how the duo did have contact with the cops, right before their tragic deaths took place on January 25.
At the moment, authorities have managed to conduct an initial post mortem examination that revealed the provisional cause of death for the duo and that was revealed to be death by hanging.
The new inquest opening for the case spoke about how both members of the teenage couple were known to the cops and were identified by images provided by the Dorset Police custody system.
Now, reports claim that the force has referred itself to an authorized organization known as the police watchdog so they can review the case.
Jack Williams hailed from Coventry in West Midlands and was currently unemployed. But at the time of his passing away, he was residing in West Bay in Dorset.
On the other hand, Miss Powell was unemployed and her home’s address was said to be in Kenilworth in Warwickshire.
The Mayor of the region claims that the incident is being looked at as a double tragedy by the community.
He also released a public statement that sent out sympathies to the couple’s loved ones and friends. “It is just so tragic that both these individuals are so young and they have died,” he added.
