A teenage boy killed his entire family, including his younger sibling, before taking photos of them and taking his own life.
15-year-old William Quince Colburn III from Aransas Pass, Texas, shocked his friends and other viewers as he took to social media to admit to murdering his entire family.
According to the reports, the teenager shot his mother, father, 13-year-old sister, and the family’s two dogs before taking pictures of them and sharing them on social media.
The teen then went on to threaten with a school shooting before pointing the gun to himself and taking his own life when the police arrived at the family’s RV home.
“This morning, we all woke up excited to tell our Mother a Happy 53rd Birthday. Instead, we were devastated with news that has broken us to our core,” Mahria Batts, the surviving family member, said after losing her siblings and parents in the shooting.
As Batts added, she is completely “lost” and “angry” over the incident and has no idea what could have led William to commit such gruesome crimes.
“As you can imagine, this is hard for us right now. This is not something we ever imagined to happen. We were not prepared for one loss, yet alone our. We are hurt. We do not understand. We are lost. We are angry.”
Following the incident, San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera suggested that things could have been much worse should the police not react with a “speedy action” after the teen posted disturbing photos on social media and threatened with more violence.
“I’m glad that we were able to find him before something worse could have happened,” the sheriff expressed.
“I’m not sure which school he planned to attack but he certainly had the weapons and ammunition to do so,” he added as he confirmed the 15-year-old had access to a rifle and at least two handguns.
