Rapper Slim 400 was gunned down and left for dead while driving around Los Angeles, California.
According to the reports, the 33-year-old ‘Train to Go’ hitmaker was shot and killed near the 7th Avenue and Manchester Boulevard intersection in Inglewood on Wednesday evening.
As of this writing, no arrests have been made, whereas the authorities do not know the motive behind the shooting.
The rapper’s premature death comes shortly after the release of his new music video called Caviar Gold.
As reported by KCBS-TV, the rapper was found unresponsive by police officers who heard gunshots while patrolling the area.
After the man was rushed to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, he succumbed to his gunshot wounds. He was later identified as Slim 400, whose real name is Vincent Cohran, by TMZ.
This isn’t the first time the performer was shot. Back in 2019, Cohran was shot eight times at the 400 block of West Spruce Street in Compton.
The attempted murder of the young rapper occurred exactly three months after the death of rapper Nipsey Hussle who was killed in a daylight ambush.
Following Hussle’s death, the authorities arrested Eric R. Holder Jr. and charged him with murder. The man is set to face his long-delayed trial on January 5, 2022.
A year before his near-death experience, Slim 400 also made headlines after getting into a heated argument with fellow rapper Tekashi 69 outside the Hyatt Regency in Long Beach.
As of this writing, the death of Slim 400 remains under investigation.
