Students from Arizona State University recently united in a protest that was aimed to raise their voices against the possibility of Kyle Rittenhouse being a student on the campus.
According to local media reports, plenty of students belonging to Arizona State University came together as they protested against Rittenhouse’s ties with the institution. But with the march that took place on Wednesday, it doesn’t seem that they’re going to ever make his attendance into classrooms a possibility.
Around 100 students rallied together in the protest with slogans comprising of ‘get killer Kyle off of our campus.’ The rally took place on ASU’s Phoenix campus where students were urged to join as one, in an effort of preventing the 18-year old from gaining entry.
Just last month, Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted for all of his charges, despite killing two individuals and leaving another critically injured as his lawyers stated his shots were only fired as a means of self-defense and nothing more.
One student who stopped for an interview spoke about how he did not like the idea of white supremacy and how there was certainly no room or tolerance for such behavior on their campus.
“It all goes without stating that he was only there to hurt and intimidate people in Kenosha and that’s the reason why he stood there with a large gun,” mentioned another student from the rally.
In his testimony, 18-year-old Rittenhouse spoke about how he was engaged in taking online classes from ASU whereby the university’s officials did confirm that he was in fact a student at that time.
However, recent reports from the school’s administration revealed how that is no longer the case and he is currently no longer enrolled or in attendance.
As the mystery continues, many students hope their fears of Rittenhouse returning to campus never become a reality.
