A married police chief has reportedly been suspended from his position after holding an ‘improper relationship with a glamourous 21-year-old officer.

Local media reports have gone on to state how investigators are currently looking into the bizarre case that has reportedly sent shockwaves around the country.

Superintendent Daniel Greenwood held inappropriate meetings while sending an array of improper text messages to the young cop who has been identified as PC Caitlin Howarth. She was reportedly under his command.

The news has startled many, including so many members of his own workforce, as many always looked up to him as a great family man. Moreover, the chief has been serving as the superintendent of the Yorkshire Police for nearly 20 long years.

While holding the post of Bradford’s District Commander, the chief is said to hail from Bingley in West Yorkshire.

Meanwhile, PC Howarth is only a probationary officer for the police force who has also been suspended as pending investigations into the case continue.

A spokesperson for the case has gone on to mention how “West Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards Directorate is currently in the midst of investigating a number of alleged misconducts of officers hailing from the Bradford district.”

Moreover, two officers are currently suspended from their duties as the main outcome for the investigation still remains at a pending status.

Similarly, the chief constable is also currently aware of the allegations and how West Yorkshire’s Police’s Profesional Standards Directorate is currently in the middle of investigating all allegations pertaining to misconduct.

“Everyone is literally in shock over the entire incident. No one saw this coming from a family man who has been working for the force for so many years,” added another close source.
