Ashli Babbitt’s lawyer is calling for justice after claiming how the officer responsible for her death during the Capitol Riot ambushed her.

Speaking to the press recently, the lawyer who has been hired by Babbitt’s family to fight her case claims that the officer that shot the former Army Veteran did not need to. In addition, he added how the shocking incident is not debatable. Instead, he claims that there was simply no warning given to her before he shot her to death.

“I would simply term the incident an ambush because I think he is not a good officer for doing what he did. Basically, I think he is reckless for behaving in that manner,” the lawyer whose name is Terry Roberts went on to add.

Currently, the family is planning to file a mega $10 million lawsuit with claims of wrongful death. Moreover, the lawsuit will reportedly be filed against the country’s Capitol Police Department as well as the officer who was responsible for the shooting.

On the other hand, local media outlets claim that the lawyer who has been hired by the family is an expert when it comes to the field of misconduct in police cases. The lawyer also went on to add how he firmly believes that had the officer given Babbitt a number of verbal warnings before killing her, she could have been with us all today.

However, the lawyer for the officer who was responsible for the killing of Babbitt denies all of Roberts’ claims, adding that they are not true. Instead, he feels that the portrayal of events from their side is absolutely not true.

“What he is saying is an absolute false narrative of the events that actually took place on January 6th,” the officer’s lawyer mentioned in a public statement.
