Anchors hailing from Fox News are in the line of fire after they reportedly mocked police officers from the Capitol Hill incident that took place on January 6th.
According to local media outlets, the news anchors were slammed for carrying out a despicable stunt that revolved around handing out ‘acting’ awards towards the officers from Capitol Hill Police.
The matter took a serious turn with many calling for the channel to be taken off the air, right after two anchors which include Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson took center stage in performing the shocking stunt.
They were both seen invoking the officers with plenty of mockery and taunts, taking full advantage of their emotions that were related to the event at Capitol Hill.
While the world condemned the January 6th incident, it appeared as if these anchors had other things on their minds which include handing out awards for the officers’ ‘performances’ on that particular day.
The anchors began by putting the blame on ANTIFA for carrying out the act, followed by adopting a rather sympathetic tone for all those that were arrested for the crime.
But when it came to the officers involved to shed light on their detailed experience of what really went on that day, the anchors felt it was okay to mock them from all points of view. And that included handing out a long list of awards because they felt the police were lying.
One by one, the anchors read out shocking titles that one would never expect on a live show to occur. This includes awards for ‘best-exaggerated performance,’ ‘best political performance,’ and ‘blatant use of party politics,’ amongst many others.
However, that did not sit down too well with viewers watching who felt it was so shameful for professionals to air such content on a public news channel.
