However, she wasn’t aware of the dangers of getting too friendly with the pups. Therefore, an unfortunate incident took place at Howling Timber’s Sanctuary, leaving her and her loved ones devastated.
Meanwhile, her family revealed the horrors of a dreadful incident where dogs ripped off her arm. And in the end, her parents had no choice but to start a GoFundMe project. Here they aimed to raise funds for her prosthetic limbs.

It was a near-death experience for little Sophia, an innocent toddler where a dog violently rips off her upper limb.
The young resident from Michigan suffered grave injuries, losing a portion of her limb. The harrowing July incident is truly tragic. Meanwhile, the latest reports concluded how Sophia Scraver received brutal attacks on her visit to her grandma’s sanctuary.
She reached out to grab the wolfdog’s collar. She adored it and wanted to pet. However, it probably felt endangered. On that occasion, it decided to bite off a major portion of her upper arm. But the shocking part arose when her grandmother, Pearson, claimed that she wasn’t sure if there was an attack or not. And that’s because she didn’t’ see any bite marks across the little girl’s arm.
Confusion surrounds dog bite case
Pearson worked long and hard over the years to design a sanctuary that she would call her own. The mega location is situated in Michigan’s West Bloomfield. And that is exactly where little Sophia lost her arm.
According to reports from Daily Mail, Pearson expressed how she didn’t feel that there was a dog attack in the first place.
‘I don’t believe there was any attack because I saw no bite wounds from her elbow to her fingertips,’ she expressed. Moreover, she confirms how she picked up little Sophia’s limb from the inside of the pet enclosure. And when she took a closeup look at the limb, there seem to be no wounds. At the same time, it lacked any evidence of bite marks too.

Possible explanations for the tragic mystery
Pearson is still unsure how exactly her arm fell off into the enclosure, as there were no marks on the arm.
In addition to her remarks on the case to media reports, the grandma also took to Facebook to explain the bizarre ordeal. Hence, here she revealed a possible explanation of what may have occurred.
The grandma believes that the little toddler probably grabbed on to the dog’s collar. That triggered him to give off a threatening response and he pulled away. On that note, her arm probably got stuck towards the fence region. Since her elbow was locked, she tugged away, causing her to lose her arm.
She even confirmed how she spoke to a member of Child Protective Services. Moreover, they confirmed how they also didn’t see any bite wounds or marks.
After the mortifying incident, her loved ones rushed her to the nearest hospital. Here, doctors didn’t attempt to put her arm back in place. They mentioned how a prosthetic arm would be the only treatment to move ahead.
With support from others, the family hopes to secure little Sophia with a prosthetic. However, despite the trauma, she is doing well and still smiling.
