A woman has suffered an unimaginable tragedy as she lost her fiancé and her four children in a single accident.
Candi Strawderman is grieving the loss of her beloved fiancé, 28-year-old Hunter Campbell, and her four young children including two step-children and two children she shares with her fiancé.
According to the reports, the West Virginia woman lost her family in a tragic house fire on Woods Edge Road in Mathias on Saturday.
While some details surrounding the blaze remain unclear, the authorities confirmed that Candi managed to escape the home through a window but suffered severe injuries in the process.
Despite their fast response, the Mathias Volunteer Fire Department firefighters could not save the other members of the young family.
It was also revealed that Candi has another child who was not at home at the time of the incident.
“Please pray for our entire community. Not just the families affected by this tragedy, but also the firefighters, EMS personnel, dispatchers and everyone who has to do this and then continue with their day to help with the next emergency,” shaken members of the local fire department said after the tragedy.
“Hold your babies tight. No one is promised tomorrow.”
Meanwhile, Brandie Hall, a friend of the family, launched a GoFundMe page to help Candi with medical expenses and funeral costs.
“With permission of the family I have set this up for it to help with Funeral Expenses, medical bills, & whatever else they need to help build somewhat of their life back,” Hall wrote on the page.
