A mother of four died tragically at her local gym after getting involved in a bizarre treadmill accident.
36-year-old Delrie Rosario was enjoying her workout at LA Fitness in Kent, Washington, when she lost footing on a treadmill and hit her head, suffering serious injuries in the process.
According to the reports, Rosario exercised at the gym daily with her sister, Marissa Woods, who was with her at the time of the incident.
“She tried to slow the machine down. I thought maybe she just missed a step. She just collapsed, [and] hit her head on the machine,” Woods told KIRO-7 News.
She went on to explain that she began screaming for help and asking other patrons if anyone knew how to perform CPR after her sister had hit her head.
Woods also claimed that not a single member of the staff intervened because everyone was left in a state of shock after the incident.
Unfortunately, the mom of four never regained consciousness and she later succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
Proud sister Marissa has since revealed that her sister saved five lives even in her death by donating her organs.
“Five people, literally like right now! [She’s] saving lives. How big can your heart be to still be saving lives? Just think, somebody’s walking around… with her big heart. They don’t even know what heart they’re about to get,” Woods added.
The kind and generous mother’s co-workers have since launched a GoFundMe page to raise some money for the late woman’s children.
“Yesterday Heaven gained an Angel and we sadly lost a great Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Delrie was an Angel walking amongst us here on earth and tragically her time was cut short with us here,” they wrote.
“Among the many incredible qualities she possessed, being an amazing Mother was top of the list. Heartbreakingly she has left behind four beautiful children. She has been the main provider for these babies for a while now, working two jobs to make sure they have whatever they want and need.”
The heartbreaking statement continued: “On behalf of the family, I am setting up this GoFundMe to help provide financial support for her children: Delaino, Rickey, Ric’Kae and Delaiah and to ensure they are taken care of for their futures. Please help me, even in grief to make sure that these beautiful children have a positive life.”
